Vettes for Vets: Supporting Veterans and Building Community
At Corvette Warehouse, we believe that true power lies not just under the hood of a car but in the spirit of community and giving back. One of the most rewarding ways we embrace this belief is by supporting our veterans—the real heroes who have given so much for our country. This year, we had the incredible honor of collaborating with Vette Syndicate and the charity group "Vettes for Vets" for a special fundraiser event that brought the community together in a truly unforgettable way. And we’re thrilled to announce that it will be returning in the summer of 2025! Let’s dive into the inspiring history of Vettes for Vets and relive the amazing event we hosted on June 29th, 2024.
The Origins and Mission of Vettes for Vets
"Vettes for Vets" was founded in 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina, by Marine veteran Jason Dores, his wife Charlotte, and friends Jamie and Jeff Dever. Inspired by their passion for Corvettes and their deep desire to help those who served, they set out to create an organization that would directly support veterans in need. Since then, Vettes for Vets has become a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing a wide range of assistance to veterans, including home renovations, dental and vision care, financial support, and more.
Each year, Vettes for Vets selects a deserving veteran and surprises them with home repair services or other essential support, in a heartwarming event often involving community members, local leaders, and sponsors. The organization also hosts Corvette car shows, fundraisers, and community activities to bring together Corvette enthusiasts and raise funds for veterans. Their mission is simple: to give back to those who have served, ensuring that veterans have the support they need for a better quality of life.
Corvette Warehouse / Vette Syndicate Fundraiser
On June 29th, 2024, Corvette Warehouse in Dallas, TX, had the privilege of hosting a fundraiser event for Vettes for Vets. It was a fantastic day filled with community spirit, entertainment, and most importantly, the drive to make a difference for homeless veterans. Hundreds of dollars were raised and donated directly to Vettes for Vets, helping to provide much-needed assistance to veterans in our community.
The event featured:
Free Food and Drinks: Attendees enjoyed delicious food and beverages, including free beer for adults, making for a great summer day out.
Live DJ: The atmosphere was electric with music from a live DJ, keeping everyone in high spirits throughout the event.
Giveaways: We held multiple giveaways where attendees had the chance to win some amazing prizes.
50/50 Raffle: The 50/50 raffle was a huge success, with half of the proceeds going to Vettes for Vets and the other half awarded to the lucky winner.
We were overwhelmed by the support from the local community, and it was heartwarming to see Corvette enthusiasts, veterans, and families come together for such a meaningful cause. The funds raised during the event will go towards supporting Vettes for Vets' ongoing efforts to assist veterans with housing, healthcare, and other essential needs.
Looking Ahead: Summer 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that the Vettes for Vets fundraiser event will be returning in the summer of 2025! Next year, we plan to make the event even bigger and better, with more entertainment, more giveaways, and more opportunities for the community to get involved. It’s our mission at Corvette Warehouse to support those who have given so much to our country, and we’re proud to partner with Vettes for Vets to make a positive impact.
